THE 101 GUIDE TO LONGJI'S BBQ

Ok, here's the plans for Longji's BBQ this coming friday, yes, friday. For those who haven't heard bout the plans, here it is. For those who heard about having a BBQ on SATURDAY instead, this is the amended plans and reasons for doing so.

Time : 4pm gathering time

We'll meet at JE Entertainment K-Pool. This is to facilitate and have a buffer for those who will be arriving late and not knowing where to go. Meanwhile, those who want to battle out in the K-pool are most welcomed to do so. Timing to set off for BBQ location is tentatively set to 5.30pm. Since location is not confirmed, we can only speculate the times, not able to confirm any BBQ times as of now. Recommended to meet at 4pm, regardless whether you want to play pool or not, as it serves as a good catching up time for most of us since we may not have seen each other for a year, if not, years.

Venue : As mentioned, gathering is at JE Entertainment K-Pool, which is the building near the Jurong East Library (Jurong Regional Library), where Shaw's LOUSY BUT REVAMPED movie theatres are located. It's at the 3rd floor next to FUJI ICE PALACE where all the ice skating addicts frequent.

Attire : As it is JE Entertainment K-Pool, I recommend you bringing home clothes direct to school on Friday morning (for JC peeps, that is). As for style, to each his/her own, but recommendation would be casual. There's no sure thing in this world saying you'll not get wet. So attire, I would say is Home casual clothings, with spare clothings if you feel you'd need them.

Reason for change in day scheduled for BBQ:

Primarily, it was supposed to be on a Saturday. Sad to inform, is that a lot of the girls would not be able to make it on the Saturday, and subsequent days of having a gathering would be bleak. This change is made for the majority of the girls, so for Longji's sake, do turn up!! This change is also made in hope that we'll have a majority of the class back together for old time's sake.

Please note that this change is not made to disallow people from coming. We have no good reasons in doing so.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1) Where's Longji??

He's back in Singapore, living with his friend in Bukit Timah area. He's fine and healthy, and still understands hokkien vulgarities.

2) Why Saturday in the first place?

Because we suggested Friday as a clubbing day for Longji. That decision is made within a group of 9, of which 5 already agreeable for the date change.

3) Anyone tried contacting Mr William Lai?

Yes and no question. Yes, I've asked around for his contact number, and no, I've not been successful in reaching him. He's currently a teacher at ACS(I), and if you can contact him about Friday, do let him know that details are here on this blog link. Thanks.

4) Why is the BBQ tentative?

It's because we still can't secure a good BBQ spot for Friday yet, because of the short time frame we had. Laika has friends sourcing for Parc Oasis's (however, requiring an initial fee of $65, $50 as deposit) and Ruiming is trying out the one downstairs. Other people living in areas where you think we can have a good BBQ, do contact me directly at 81287413. It's for the coming Friday, 6th July. Try not to get country club BBQ pits, for we're bound to kill the management with the amount of mess we're reckoned to create.

5) What is we can't book a BBQ pit?

Good question. In such cases, we'll have portable BBQ at west coast (preferred) or Jurong Lake Park (very much less preferred). Don't worry, we'll do the organising, your role is to be present.

6) What if it rains?

We'll do frequent weather checks. If it's bound to rain, BBQ will be cancelled entirely in cases of portable or open air BBQ. If BBQ area is sheltered (Sheltered as in still can cook, NOT INDOOR), we will proceed with the BBQ.

7) When is Longji going back?

He's due to fly mid next week. So miss this chance, practically you'll miss him for forever.

8) Can I do some self entertainment?

Don't see the reason why not.
