I'm really touched these days, by not only the OGLs, but also the campers as well. I realise that a lot of the campers enjoyed the camp a lot, and some even put up thanks for the councillors, and I am touched by the words they mentioned in their blogs, and the support they have for the council.

For that, I really thank you guys. Also, if all of you are reading this, let me tell you some of the things we really have to say.

Firstly, the main objective of our orientation really shifted from getting to know the school, to the current one, which is to have fun and allow friendship to grow. It's really why an overnight camp is good in this sense, how many times do you get to sleep next to strangers whom you only knew for a day? Don't think in another perverse sense, but with this, trust grows strong, and your friendship with others grows deep. That is our programme. Really, we'll rather have a camp of fun, than to have days of talks and daytime orientation programmes which seemed so much less significant to us. Meaning to say, we enjoy running camps!! And not only that, we enjoy running camps for YOU!! This brings me to the second point too.

Second, some of you actually took Mr Leow's words of scolding us quite harshly. Well, let's just say that he 'love' us in a sense, and is just giving us 'loving sessions'. We always take things positively, seldom would you see us saying that it's impossible to do this and that, though we always say things can't be done, for one reason or another, primarily due to safety. Well, this is a fact. As much as Mr Leow 'love' us, and as much as we hate to have his 'loving sessions', we still enjoy putting up this camp for you!! Reason being, this is our project dedicated to you guys, not Mr Leow's. Also, we learn from his sessions, and improve from there so that we can improve this camp for you. Taking things into our strides, these sessions are insignificant to the spirit you guys have during the camp itself, and you guys makes it worthwhile. Even if the teachers are to 'love' us everyday for 7 hours, if this will make the camp a better camp than it is, I'm sure each and every one of us are willing to go through it to put up the best that we can for you!! Lastly, my third and final point to make.

Yes, it's my final point. And my guess is that some of you guys would be thinking, "With so much stress and lack of sleep, how did they enjoy this camp?" It's true that stress is a lot and my lack of sleep is godly. For the records, here's my sleeping durations for the camp.

Tues - Wed = 5 hours (Preparation for camp)
Wed - Thurs = 3 hours (Preparation for camp)
Thurs - Fri = 14 minutes
Fri - Sat = 2 hours

And I fell sick with severe headache on Camp day 3, and I missed the E-Webs and also your song-singing and debrief. I'm really sad not to be there, but it's a punishment for myself by my own body too. Well, you saw right, 14 minutes of sleep definitely isn't what you'll want to get for a night.

Well, back to the point, we enjoyed the camp in a very different way, similar yet unique from OGLs. We don't have any campers attached to us, we have no OGs, no families, but what we do have is the JJ family. Each one of you is really our joy. The feelings we have, and the thoughts we have when you guys cheered without the OGLs, without us leading, it's extraordinary. Seeing you guys cheering each other on, and pushing yourselves to the limits to enjoy our mass dances and games and concerts, it's totally out of this world. And also, seeing you guys put on that big smiles on your faces, seeing that, our hearts no longer care about the 'loving sessions', no more of the tiredness, sleeplessness, exhaustion, and sickness, the feeling we got is really priceless.

The most important people of the camp isn't the councillors, they are not the teachers and OGLs who made this camp, who organised this camp to make it possible. It's you guys, the campers, who made this camp a success. OGLs and councillors combined would just have a strength of less than 180. There are more than 800 campers in total, and I'm pretty sure it's easy to see where the importance lies.
