All of a sudden, I just want to blog about this, it's a passing thought which is constantly overlooked as a feeling, insignificant and all. But I should have known better, that in spite of it being just plainly an emotion, sometimes, these emotions are really able to drive me bonkers trying to think of ways to go around this situation.

What drives me to blog this post is really the 26th Students' Council. I really enjoyed being part of this big family, and really, a family who shares laughter, joy, and also tears and pain and hardship together. Now comes a hardship which is forcing and tearing us apart, promotion.

Though some of us are in danger, let me just say my words.

26th Students' Council, we really came a long way through these many months, starting out even before we actually stepped up, way back when we just started out this journey. To think that we actually completed and excelled in these many events, it is really remarkable and worth its weight in gold and more.

My fellow colleagues and friends, brothers and sisters, though we are inevitably seperated by the promotional examinations, I must say that we are no longer a family if we lose any of the 33 of us, and I seriously think that we won't. Promotion is one thing, but when it comes to the ties that binds, it went beyond getting promoted, it went beyond working hard for both council work and studies. It is when we truly becomes a family when these situations suddenly become no so intimidating.

Once you set foot on a council journey, you are always a councillor. That's what I believe unlike what our seniors say, "You are not yet a councillor before investiture, and you will only be saying that you're once a councillor after you step down." I think that's a such a load of bull. No matter how we handle things and duties, we did it as a pride of being a councillor, and it is that which matters most . When we say that each one of the 33 of us is a councillor, it means that we are more than just friends, we are family.

Quoting V for Vendetta, "Beyond this mask, beyond flesh and blood, there is an ideal. And ideals are bulletproof." Beyond our joy, beyond our hardships, we have a bond, and this bond goes beyond council work, it goes beyond just reporting in the morning at 7.15am to do duties and raise the flags, shouting the commands and reading the announcements to the student population, it even goes beyond the laughter we had as a council. It's the tears we shed during this term, which really tells how much we've gone through together.

No matter whether the whole 26th is getting promoted, I'm sure that we will remain as strong as firm as we have been, and even stronger. When you're part of the big family with a picture of yourself on the council board, no one by any means can remove that picture, because when you're part of the 26th, you will always be part of the big family of 33.
