JJC Orientation continues.

Actually this stuff is really starting to get interesting once you know the people around you, and once you get them to be as enthusiastic as you are, stuff in our OG and family is really turning out pretty well.

We had our subject combination options first thing in the morning. It's quite unanimous. People had either went for Maths, Chem, Bio and H1 econs or Maths, Chem, Phys and H1 econs. So there'll be 2 majority classes for the whole of JC1 this year for the first 3 months. Actually, I want to crash other JCs, but don't know which one to go to. I wanted to crash H2 econs and geog just to see what it's like.

Anyway, the day turned out quite well, the unity in our OG is beginning to show as more people opened themselves up for interaction today. With claps and cheers, we rocked the library from the outside once again.

Soon, we had our CCA presentation by the pupil management guy again, who bored us to sleep for about 40 mins or so. After which, all of us were groggy that our cheers sounded much like the reawakening of the dead of some sort.

The talk ended and after JJ cheering, we learnt the JJ spirit song(where we have to "AAHHHH!!" to) and the college anthem. They sounded solemn yet, oxymoronically(wow), bit encouraging and lightening. Afer learning those, we had mass dance again. Second of our 11 dances, it's a dance to the song Superstar(the english one). It wasn't as bad as the first one, the steps are fairly simple, yet due to space constraints, when the female is supposed to be in front of the male after a waltz, it seemed more like we wanted to play Domino by pushing the first guy and making one fall backwards onto the other and so on and so forth. Nevertheless, it's still quite a nice dance. 9 more to go.

During family time, the cheers just gets lamer and lamer. Learnt some sort of Superman Spiderman Batman cheer today which is a ultra no-point cheer. Enjoyed ourselves with such lame stuff till we are thirsty, so got water from the OGLs to drink. One bottle is 330ml, I gulped down one in seconds. Well, water-tank what, what do you expect. I got another bottle soon after, so it's 660ml during family time.

Afterwards in the hall, We had another water parade session. Drank another bottle, making it 990ml. Soon, Siao Liao gave quite a speech right to the end of the day, which is at 2pm. He asked of our enthusiasm and positive attitude towards the camp and the remaining orientation, and I think it's quite a meaningful talk, though some of us barely needed it. Anyway, the style of his speech is the equivalent of a Peter Lim in EXACT form. He got the stories, he got the lameness, he got the Peter Lim style of speaking, he got the Peter Lim touch to the talk he gave. Truly unbelievable that another guy similar to Peter Lim existed in this world.

Anyway, tomorrow is the orientation camp. Lasting till Saturday. I rather enjoy it with enthusiasm than suffer through it in boredom since it's compulsory. Well, there's a good way and a boring way to view a camp, how would you view it?

DO YOU KNOW?

D from P.A.D. is spotted working in a Chinese Herbal Medicinal Store in Jurong West, the market next to Rulang, along the stores which sells fruits(alot of durians that one). The stray dog is confirmed to be working there by Chin Hua, Hei Wai and me. The shop is going to close down soon, since it was sleeping along the counter and drawing the crowd away with the pee marking of it's supposed territory. Someone call SPCA.
