3rd day in China.

Woke up at around 10am in the morning, yet I remembered waking up at around 5.30am to see the sunlight already penetrating the thick curtains of my dad's apartment. Well, had breakfast while watching College Basketball action on ESPN(dubbed in Mandarin) live from the US.

Soon, we had our lunch and then preceeded to the train station. My dad did not want to drive to the station since there's a high chance of the car being smashed around in the public place especially when we're going to be away for at least a week. So with 5 person, we can't squeeze into a taxi, and there're aren't many of them anyway. What happened stunned me and my brothers. My dad just went up to a mini-van, tapped the window and asked the person whether he can send us to the train station. The person was sleeping and refused to send us there. I had no idea that it's a taxi type of van! Imagine someone walking into your car and asking you to send him to this place, and you are obviously not a taxi driver, how would you react? Anyway, we tried our luck along the road and finally found one willing to send us there for RMB15, so we squeezed into the small van with our hand luggage and drove to the train station.

Our train leaves the Changzhou station at 2.49pm, travelling to Shanghai via Wuxi and Suzhou. Anyway, the station is called Nanjingxi, west of Nanjing. You all won't believe how the people in there queue up to get pass the waiting area, which is where you're supposed to wait before the train arrives. It's not by the train side, it's somewhere in the station. The people cut the queue like god would kill them if they didn't. If you think the crowd waiting outside the MRT door are rude to not follow the yellow markings on the ground and give way to the alighting people, you can chop off these people's head. Anyway we got passed the waiting area, then there's the train side wait which didn't take very long. Got on the train and played Big2 with m brothers, andsonly took few pictures since there isn't scenery, only poor housing and factories.

Reached Suzhou after Wuxi, alighted and immediately got onto a larger taxi-van to send us to our hotel which had been booked in advance. It's a new hotel anyway, with so little staff you won't believe it's a hotel. Nevermind. Checked into our rooms and moved to GuanQianJie(Official-front-street) for our dinner. After dinner, moved around the place abit, I'm familiar with the place since I went there two years ago, with a guided tour then.

Anyway, I got 2 of my 3 bags here at GuanQianJie. One is a duffle bag and the other a drum bag. Both are Adidas navy blue, fine quality lo. Costed me RMB90, converted to be less than S$20. Not bad a deal for me, just a backpack left to get from China.

Updates on souvenirs, nothing bought yet. There isn't anything special here too. Nicole, can't find your desired colour and taste yet. Ruiming, can't get the book too, not yet. Tse Ruey, the CD you want is nowhere to be found. Will try to post the photos I had.

Anyway, tomorrow will follow guided tour around Suzhou also, so see how the day will end. I'll take more photos to share with you guys too.

That's all for you all now, miss Singapore alot already. The climate here just doesn't suit me well, prefered Singapore. Everyone here awed at our family since I had 2 brothers, and they are under the one-child policy. See ya guys on new year's day if possible!
