2nd day in China report.

Quite a happy day actually. Woke up at 11.30am, then didn't get any breakfast, soon going to somewhere near to have my first haircut, in China. The people there are friendly since they are friends with my mum from previous visits. They also insisted that they wash my hair before I cut my hair. And so I did, and then my haircut was good, and my hair was washed again after the cut. Not bad, just that they used scissors and comb only. No big black mechanical thingy which cuts your hair with a "zZz" sound. Satisfied with my haircut though, they've the skills to do the job.

Then returned home, and since my dad was working half-day first, can't go out till lunch time. On our (my eldest brother and me, second is at home using the laptop then) way back, reached the estate fountain, frozen solid. It wasn't something you see everyday, and 2 children were playing there, so we went to play abit too. The ice is quite thick actually, about 2 to 3 cm thick. After analysing the ice, went back home and soon, dad returned and we went for lunch.

After lunch, shopped more. Bought my first jacket, cause I was wearing my dad's. Thin but able to withstand sub-zero temperatures, cool huh? Anyway, our baggage wasn't found yet, so the insurance company is going to suffer. Eldest brother is in accountancy, so we'll claim back every single cent, and I am a professional crapper, so our baggage will suddenly seem very precious to all of us to make it more valuable. Sorry, just kidding.

Then went from malls to malls, saw pretty much cheap stuff which I intended to buy, but knew there'll be cheaper in a place in Shanghai later on in our trip. So saved the money first.

Then had dinner in Ajisen Dining!! At a place somewhere, shopping district, considered ChangZhou's Orchard Road, but nowhere near it. Singapore's far more bigger and crowded. The meal only costed us RMB138, which roughly converts to less than S$30!! A full meal consisting for 5 bowls of ramen and 4 side dishes, how can you get them from Singapore as such a price? Anyway their staff wear a shirt saying "Ajisen Dining Staff Since 1968". So all the staff there had been working there for more than 40 years.

Bought the biscuits and snacks later at a supermarket near Ajisen, and I saw whole chicken leg(drumstick with the thigh) selling for like RMB10, S$2!! So tempted, but my mum said we'll get them cheaper in the market next time, so decided to wait.

After that, went for a show, variety type of show where there's emcees and dancers and comedians, etc... The place is totally smoke full, which is 1 thing I hated of China. They allowed smoking in indoor and outdoor places except for certain malls, but the theatre is filled with people smoking.

Show starts at 9pm, where dance and songs were brought on, where aero-aerobics were performed, including a magician show which is pretty good but all in all, abit obvious how to do them. Then the show gets back to the oldies with songs from my mum's era, sing along somemore...

Then a comedian who sparks up our spirits since I'm getting skeptic whether it's worth my dad's money to bring me and my brothers there. She was professional, no doubt. Fluent in all her dubbed songs which roughly insults the male emcee to bring up the life in the audience. Well done and placed, and then she insults Japanese Prime Minister Koizumi, for his past visit to the war shrine, and then goes on to say that the country change textbook or something, and then went on with violence, saying how easily China could squash Japan with their gigantic population.

After that there's a skit, with some dialect jokes which we don't understand. But what really wrapped up the whole show is a mini-me figure. This little guy who is barely 1 metre in height is actually 28 years old, and joked about how his size came about.

He said like when it's his time(when his parents are doing IT to have him), his granddad budged in and interrupted their process, and then his dad has to "ban tu er fei"(stop halfway), leaving the sperm inside with not enough "fertiliser", thus creating him. The way he say it like a child was terribly funny. He then asked a lady to go up and he sang "Xiao Wei", gave her a rose and sat on her lap just like a child would. After the song, she was given a souvenir, and the little guy asked for the rose back, saying that he needed that to cheat another lady the next night. We were in hysterics then.

Got home after that and started blogging, so here I am. Anyway, will start my photo taking tomorrow, starting with train pictures since I'm taking one to the Suzhou province. May not be able to blog in a long time.
