Expedition #3: Hike - Bukit Timah Nature Reserve

So the journey begins.

Set off to Bukit Timah in HRM's dad's car. Reached at around 1312hours, spend 5mins playing around with some people from a church in Bukit Timah. They're doing some sort of treasure/savanger hunt, needing to find a person who lives in Bukit Timah area/birthday's in September/etc... All in all, they need to find 4 people and have them sign on the paper. Ruiming signed somewhere and said he can't sign on the living in BT area as he lives in Tampines, Thomas signed somewhere too saying he'll help fellow Christians, I signed at the above 2 places, saying I lived in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and my mother's birthday in September.

Well, we set off on the track first, with a ultra-steeped gradient route, it took us awhile to get to the top of that path before we devianted and took the rock path, which is more challenging. Of course, it's no threat, we cleared the rock path easily.

With proper motivation from our funny conversations, we moved on with ease in some areas, and much more frustration in others. We encountered flight of stairs, and I MEAN flight of stairs. Each step is like 30 to 45cm increase in height, and the gradient is so steep that we swore and raved until we got to the top. When other people saw us taking that path, they were like "Whoa, they killing themselves arh? Very long way leh, before reach up there they die of exhaustion le..."

Four times we climbed up and down different flight of stairs of same scale, and swearing and raving and panting, we made it, up and down, four times up, four times down. No mean feat.

Reached the top in no time, and so we decided to roam around the place. Took different paths, encounter 2 monitor lizards, one big one small.

Got a call from Ivan, asked us whether want to go queensway shopping complex. Way too early to return home, so went there. Looked at bags, met Tanyaw and his girl, floated around pointlessly, got hungry. So went to have dinner. I'm not a Prisoner-of-War, Ivan and Tim, I eat alot due to my appetite which has no connection with my life before.

Went Daiso after having dinner, saw two men of minority races holding hands gayly and walking around IMM. HRM got the net he wanted, lent him $2, out of IMM, took bus home.
