Two-hundredth ENTRY!!

Yeah. Reached the big 2-0-0.

Today, I went to the WORLD FOOD FAIR 2005, expedition conducted in search of gourmet food at Suntec Convention Centre Level 6. In the absence of Li Peishan, one of our numbers who explored the depths of hell in *ahem*, Thomas, Nicole and Me left the areas of Jurong East to the Central areas of Singapore.

Arriving at Suntec Convention Hall, we took up the challenge to venture beyond the wide open gates of temptation. Okay, shan't blog in this awkward story-like tone. Here goes.

Passed by Voda Voda, yes, they got a booth, and it literally doesn't help, the guy gave us water to drink, thanks. He said it's pure spring water without any filtration or chemical inputs. He added that the chemicals on the labels are present in the limestone amongst the spring water area, thus occuring naturally. Lastly, he told us that there are people who hate drinking mineral water, but drank voda voda for three days and liked to drink water. Isn't that stupid, the water is tasteless.

Anyway, got to taste lots of different food. Samples everywhere, plus I bought big fish otahs at cheap prices. Thomas and Nicole started the buying first, purchasing the Japanese Yakitori, which I ate too. Then there's the agar agar mooncake, cakes and pastries fresh from the ovens, PIG KNUCKLE from Kelly's by Leo, lots of different products by different companies with weird names. Then there's the extreme low prices for most items, with buy 2 get 1 free, buy 1 for $2 then 3 for $5, good bargains and more. Well, Nicole bought nice chocolate, liquor filled, at cheap price.

Forgot to mention, the hall itself contained a large eating area for people to sit down and enjoy their food, remarkable?

Anyway, ventured out of the place again, wondering what should we have for lunch, time is 3.52pm. Deciding that it is way too early to return home, we went floating about in Suntec Shopping. We looked at different products, wasted time here and there. Talked crap and such. Walking about, Nicole found the Times Bookshop she wanted to go to, since she got $25 voucher. I explored the bookshop while Thomas read a book entitled "Invisible Trade". I shall not comment on the content though, it's quite a read as Thomas had found it. Costing $19.95, it is a must-have for the folks with curiosity in the red light districts of Singapore, and abroad.

We wondered here and there again, talked crap, again, after we left Times with Nicole purchasing 2 books about Samurais, the Shogun and Geisha. Went to Carrefour, looked at backpacks and criticised them for looking so similar to Deuters', browse the CDs and VCDs and DVDs, getting out of Carrefour with Nicole, yet again, buying a DVD-R.

Then, I decide to go back to WORLD FOOD FAIR to get the chocolates after Nicole showed me how cheap they really are, got 5 of them, and 3 cancer-causing Taiwan sausages, as Thomas said. Exiting the fair for the second time, it's already 5.55pm. Thomas went toilet to pee, finding out that the 2 toilets he went to are for females, then went to find a male one while we waited. Saw my primary school buddy Hong Sheng with his gay friend(no offence there). Long time since I've last seen him, same as ever, same as ever. He stalked us down the escalators(long ones, mind you) until we lost sight of them around a bend. We headed back to City Hall MRT, took the train. Saw a BLUE turban, pinched Thomas, who shouted OOOWWWWWW, and made everyone turn and look at him. He whispered "blue" and I let go. Talked crap, talked lame stuff all the way until Jurong East, where we parted.
